60043

60043 was the very last A3 to be built in February 1935 as 2508 and went directly to Haymarket shed. Up to 1937 it had a corridor tender but until withdrawal in 1961 it was coupled to a GN style tender as in the view above. It was fitted with a double chimney in early 1959.
It was sold for scrap to Motherwell Machinery & Scrap Co, Inshaw in July 1964
